Sometimes - written by David Turnhout

She wasn't born yesterday
Never heard a word they'd say
All inside of her head
Thoughts better left unsaid

Life is passing her by
Living that same old lie

She wasn't born with spoon in mouth
Travelled far and then went south
She ended up in a dark blank space
With no money and egg on face

Watching the days go by
Spending the evenings high

Sometimes you end up in the wrong place
Sometimes you hang your head in disgrace
Sometimes you open up the wrong door
Sometimes you get dealt a rough draw

She hit the big time a bit too late
Her past had already sealed her fate
Her memory still lingers on
Lyrics flow in her songs

Now she's seeing the light
And putting everything back right

Sometimes you end up in the wrong place

Sometimes you hang your head in disgrace

Sometimes you open up the wrong door

Sometimes you get dealt a rough draw

With no money or hope at all
You clambered up and took the fall
Seasons past and the sun shone through
Left your mind feeling blue

Sometimes you end up in the wrong place

Sometimes you hang your head in disgrace

Sometimes you open up the wrong door

Sometimes you get dealt a rough draw

Apathy - written by David Turnhout

That hot summer sun

Everybody's on the run

Except me and my apathy

Cool summer breeze

Putting everyone at ease

Include me in that company

It's hard to do something

When you can't even begin

Took my troubles to

A bottle of tonic and gin

Gotta get my mind out of this rhythm

And make it through another day

Struggle out of bed early in the morning

Put me on some Valium

Then leave me with my own apathy

Got out the door

And couldn't walk anymore

Left me with some lethargy

Demons in my head

Come at me in my bed

Don't need any sympathy

It's hard to do something when you've got nothing to lose

So I turn my back and make another excuse

Gotta get my mind out of this rhythm

And make it through another day

Struggle out of bed early in the morning

Put me on some Valium

Then leave me with my own apathy

I know it's easy criticise

When you've got motivation on your side

They tell me one day I'll be at rest inside

Blue - written by Richard Bradley

If there’s a light, then we’ll find a way

If there’s some space, then we’ve got room to play

In my mind, I was hoping you’d stay

You’re the reason that I’m here anyway

If you’d only look at me like I see you

Would it help you at all if I dressed in blue

I live my life just one day at a time

And I’m trusting it will fall into line

I never ask for another today

And I don’t question the point of yesterday

If you’d only look at me like I see you

Would it help you at all if I dressed in blue

It’s taken all this time for you to see things straight

When you make up you’re mind you might find out that you’re too late

So I’ll just wait as long as I can

I’ll watch the fall of each grain of sand

I’ll take the knocks, then I’ll come back for more

You’ll name your price, and I’ll pay it for sure

If you’d only look at me like I see you

Would it help you at all if I dressed in blue

It’s taken all this time for you to see things straight

When you make up you’re mind you might find out that you’re too late

Circling - written by Anne Rijnink

Why are we circling around?

Upwards downwards at the same time

Secretly reaching for that crown

Collecting reasons to be down

Why do we live like we're drowning

Have everything except time

And everybodys saying, "common let your hair down

And you'll be fine, I'm sure"

Challenge the ones who live above

Hinder their guidence to your love

You found linked lines and cut them off

So now you're only free but also lost

That's why you'll live like your drowning

Have everything except time

Like everybody’s saying, "live a little sometimes"
But I don’t live that way

I guess we're circling around

Something's substantial, quite profound

We think we’re lost when we are found

That's when the earth becomes the ground

Why don't you just wander over now

Cos I don't think you've lost

Or just wait untill you're slowing now

You will find out when you're done

You will find out when you're done

You will be there when you're done

Cynic - written by David Turnhout

Sit back in your corner
And let your life pass you by
Master of the back chat
Your rumours are a seething lie

All we ever wanted to do
Was try a little something new

Candid sour comments
Made to have a deep impact
Observe don't get involved
With anything laced with fact

Build them up and set them down
You're old and have no one around

Cynic you're a critic
Destined as a background voice
Cynic it's pandemic
Deal with life you've made your choice

Painful when you look back
A long life full of loss and regret
Easy to linger on
Past events and their effects

Target positivity
And twist to hostility

Cynic you're a critic
Destined as a background voice
Cynic it's pandemic
Deal with life you've made your choice

Everywhere I go
There seems to be
Another cynical casualty

Cynic you're a critic
Destined as a background
Cynic it's pandemic
Deal with life you've made your choice

Don’t mind you - written by Anne Rijnink

I wonder why, You turned away

I wonder why I’m left to stay
How am I wrong?

I've been trying to be strong

I wished you’d never turn away

Yes we got told, in order to be old
"Go put on boots and run away"
Well, I was there

and yet my feet were bare

I watched you turn and run away

I don’t think you see it all from here
I don’t think you had any idea

Why do you dance on table tops?
Why don’t you drink until you’ve had enough?
Why don’t you wash your mouth with soap?
It’s like I’m seeing things that lovers don’t

I don’t think you see it all from here
I don’t think you had any idea

I didn't stay

I didn't ask for change

But I don't mind it this way

But I don't mind it this way

And when you came around again
I had to refamiliarise, calling you friend
They say don't love 'cos love will die
Lucky for us the view is nice from after-life

But I don't mind it this way

I don't mind it this way
I think I like us this way

Wrecking Ball - written by Mat Charles

Oh oh    Oh oh oh oh

Oh oh    Oh oh oh oh

From the mist of everyday existence

A floating glowing light, an angel
From the dry desert sand an oasis

Rises from the shimmering, is it real

As familiar as a dear old friend

Yet a stranger from which you cannot defend

Oh oh    Oh oh oh oh

Oh oh    Oh oh oh oh

Calling from the door to the candy store

Only to impose her will with the dentists drill
Lays you softly on her bed, a bed of nails

You can’t move for fear of being impaled

She begins with sweet whispers in the air

Suddenly a screaming banshee in your ear

She’s an angel and she loves you

You begin building great halls
She’s the devil and she hates you

Vengeance is her crying call

Strapped on, she won’t fall

Demonic angel riding a wrecking ball
Strapped on, she won’t fall

Demonic angel riding a wrecking ball

My lover

Never my true friend
My power

Looking for my weakness

Oh oh    Oh oo oh oh

Oh oh    Oh oh oh oh

Taking joy in the battle, fighting

Some previous injustice, but the winning
Never seems to bring the inner peace she needs

Looking like she’s in it for the long haul

On;y to follow the first piper

To rub two coins between his sugar fingers

She’s an angel and she loves you

You begin building great halls

She’s the devil and she hates you

Vengeance is her crying call

Strapped on, she won’t fall

Demonic angel riding a wrecking ball

Strapped on, she won’t fall

Demonic angel riding a wrecking ball

Storm Brewing - written by David Turnhout

Why, oh tell me why?

I feel so low

when I should be high

Is it content

That I feel

Before I die?

Something’s brewing

I don’t know what.

Invade my house

Steal my mind

Some of these things

Don’t feel that fine

Something’s brewing

I don’t know what

All the planets

They align

Coming, coming, coming down

Haunting, haunting like a smile on a clown

Feel it, feel it drawing near

The storm, the storm before the clear

Near, don’t draw too near

From afar it all comes clear

The world is turning

While it’s burning

When I am near

It’s a nightmare

When hell comes a calling

You should heed

This final warning

We all go out

And don’t come in

The clouds are gathering

And it begins

Coming, coming, coming down

Haunting, haunting like a smile on a clown

Feel it, feel it drawing near

The storm, the storm before the clear

New Song - written by Mat Charles

It’s a cold and dreary night, outside it is raining thunder and lightning

I love the rolling thunder, lying here watching, the sky is giving

Back to mother earth the life he has been given

I realise the simple truth, the earth and sky they are lovers

As the wind blows the rain it kisses the window, I watch the water

I begin to wonder how it would be sharing in your kisses

Would you give yourself easily to my touch

I realise the simple truth, you and I we should be lovers

I live for the highs, as you smile at me from under your eyes

The bells have rung, calling us to sing this new song

C’mon, C’mon C’mon, C’mon Join me in this new song

C’mon, C’mon C’mon, C’mon Join me in this new song

I sit here watching you amazed by how much I have learned

Yet I want so much more, here stands you and I, it’s just hanging there

What we could be if we lose this love of fear

We should dance sometimes, I wish we were lovers

I live for the highs, as you smile at me from under your eyes

The bells have rung, calling us to sing this new song

C’mon, C’mon C’mon, C’mon Join me in this new song

C’mon, C’mon C’mon, C’mon Join me in this new song

Now you are standing beside me, I’m trembling, excitement awaiting

Longing for your kiss, the touch of your hand leaves my heart just singing

Even not knowing how this song will end

We should dance sometimes, I wish we were lovers

I live for the highs, as you smile at me from under your eyes

The bells have rung, calling us to sing this new song

C’mon, C’mon C’mon, C’mon Join me in this new song

C’mon, C’mon C’mon, C’mon Join me in this new song

C’mon, C’mon C’mon, C’mon Join me in this new song

C’mon, C’mon C’mon, C’mon Join me in this new song

Floating - written by Anne Rijnink

We are just two people stuck in one old rubber boat

Slowly dying from starvation but we're not alone.

When the night is cloudy and our noses have turned red

Our old boat will keep on floating right until we're dead

The heavens, they are staring down with condescending eyes

Our soft rubber won't protect us if thorns rain from skies.

Why will we keep on floating and floating?

For how long will the waves refrain from drowning us?

We are just two people that are slowly drifting by

Unaware what is around us and the time flies by

But spiteful winds hate confidence, make smiles turn upside down

I am wary of my balance so I will not drown

'Cos, waves they'll keep on rolling in remind us we're alive

My few seconds of forever for now pass the time

Why will we keep on floating and floating?

For how long will the waves refrain from drowning us?

Why will we keep on floating and floating?

For how long will the waves refrain from drowning us?

Why must we live like we're holding on to something

When everybody knows we're going to part

We might as well be happy we're alive and we are free

'Cos with you I feel happy
